When you work in the chemistry laboratory, you are responsible for yourself and the safety of others in the lab.  Just as in the work place, safety is a team effort and responsibility. In the work place, Occupational Health and Safety Administration (OSHA) regulates and monitors safety practices.  Safety not only protects people's health, but it also saves money. Knowing and following safety procedures not only prepares you for lab work in this class, but prepares you for future careers.
