GOOGLE APPS for EDUCATION ACCOUNT

1. What is a GRCHS Google Apps for Education Account?

  • This Google account it not the same as a public Google account; if you already have a Google account, keep it and this one separate.
  • Google Apps for Education offers a free and ad-free set of online customizable tools that enable teachers and students to work together and learn more effectively.
  • Your grchristian.org Google Apps for Education account is housed on a Google server, thereby giving you access to Google Drive (word processor, spreadsheet, presentation, drawing, and forms software) and much more.
  • This account also allows you and your teachers to share information housed in these file areas with others.
  • IMPORTANT: this account is available to you while you are a GRCS student; upon graduation or un-enrollment, the account will be closed.

2. Why do I have this account?

  • GRCS encourages the use of these tools as an effective and efficient way to improve collaboration and communication. The primary purpose is to support teaching and learning. All GRCS students in grades five through twelve will be assigned a Google Apps for Education account. 

3. What are my responsibilities regarding my GRCHS Google Apps for Education Account?

  • Teachers and other GRCHS staff expect that you will use these tools to collaborate and communicate with them and other GRCHS students.

4. What is my login information?

  • Your Username: your GRCHS Gmail address - example: 16smithja@grchristian.org
  • Your Password: same as the one you use to log into the school laptop
