Subjunctives indicate hypothetical or wishful thinking.
If there is a regular indicative verb in a Latin sentence AND a subjunctive, then the subjunctive is NOT the main verb.
"What did you work on in Latin today?"
We worked on _____________ ____________. That's real good.
