UDLFor this lesson, you will look at Universal Design for Learning (UDL) and how this important teaching and learning strategy works to engage all of our diverse students.

First - watch this video overview of UDL from the CAST website UDL from the CAST.ORG website. Watch a couple of the others that show UDL in practice that show UDL in practice in the playlist.

Next - do a quick self-assessment on the "How Do You Teach" checklist. Then review some of the tools at the HIAT UDL Tool Finder. Look at a couple of UDL-model texts at the CAST UDL Book Builder.

Then - use the Twitter search #ATCHAT and scroll back a few days in time.  Find a good resource, link or Tweet and RETWEET it. 

Finally - go to the How Do You Teach forum question and follow the guided question response.  Write about what you learned regarding UDL. Describe the key points of UDL and what they mean to you. Include things like why teachers should always begin with the end in mind as it relates to lesson plan development and inclusion of all learners.
