Assignments for Visionary Leadership

Please read the entire assignment overview before starting any tasks. You may wish to take some notes as you go.

Part 1 - 

First, review the The International Society for Technology in Education (ISTE) Standards for Administrators (ISTE-A).  

Also, read over the essential conditions to leverage technology in education.

As you read about the standards, think about how each might fit into your job with your school and district.

Next, create a forum post titled "What can I do to be a visionary leader?" and explain how you can act on or influence work around the ISTE-A standards in your job as a teacher, teacher leader, or administrator.

After you post in the forum, come back here to work on Part 2 below.

Part 2 - 

First - For each item below, you will make a forum post explaining what you learned, your thoughts, or a link to your creation if applicable.

Complete the vision statement assignment and forum post.

Post your thoughts on the question in the "What Do Student's Want" forum with your co-learners.

Review resources that will support your instructional leadership and help to bring about support for the initiative and positive change within your organization.  These are optional resources for additional support as you create your mental model of what being a teacher leader might look like.

Create your own personal learning network (PLN) by joining a few of the suggested sites and completing the Twitter activity.

Then...  you are done with this module!
