updateIn this course, you will be using your web browser quite heavily to discover new learning content and create reflections of your learning.

Because of that, you will want to make sure that your computer is updated with the latest software, and you have resources to add new applications and plug-ins as needed.

Here's rule number one of any troubleshooting: Have you tried turning it off and on again?

Seriously. It sounds like a pain, but that little trick works in many cases.

Rule number two is: Have you tried another web browser?

Because the web and technologies that make webpages are ever changing, your web browser might encounter trouble making a page look like you expect, or something else unexpected happens.  For that, I suggest installing multiple browsers on your personal computer.

For a Windows-based computer, you should have Chrome installed as an alternative to Internet Explorer/Edge.

For a Mac OS (Apple) computer, you should also install Chrome as an alternative to Safari.  In addition to updating your browser, you may need to update plug-ins for your computer as well.  On a Mac, you usually get prompted to update items from the Apple App Store.

On a Windows computer, you might need to seek out different locations to install software.  My suggestion is to NOT use a Google search, but rather to go to my favorite websites for updated software - FileHippo or FIlePuma.
