Teacher as Learner

Hi Everyone! I look forward to traveling this learning journey with all of you. I'd love to hear about your interests and how you want to grow professionally. Because of our diverse backgrounds and experiences, a bit of sharing will spark thinking and energize us as we start in the course.

• A few things you may not know about me are:

I grew up in Grand Rapids and went to Kentwood Public Schools.

Before becoming an educator and teaching at KCTC, I was a member of the US Air Force in the Security Forces (a.k.a. Military Police), after returning to Michigan, I worked for the Walker PD and Kent County Sheriff Department, and for a couple of non-profit organizations as the director of IT.

I'm an Adjunct Professor at Aquinas College and MSU in the Teacher Education programs.
