Exponential and Logarithmic Functions
Exponential Functions are used to model growth of populations, interest on an investment, depreciation of cars, decay of radioactivity, and many other real-life things. Logarithmic Functions are used to measure earthquakes (Richter Scale), Acidity (pH), and Sound Intensity (decibels).
Solving Exponential Equations
Can you solve these four different types of Exponential Problems?
- Solutions here....
The first three problems can be solved using algebraic methods we have learned in past classes. The fourth problem requires a new function to solve, the logarithmic function.
