Exponential and Logarithmic Functions

Exponential Functions are used to model growth of populations, interest on an investment, depreciation of cars, decay of radioactivity, and many other real-life things. Logarithmic Functions are used to measure earthquakes (Richter Scale), Acidity (pH), and Sound Intensity (decibels).

M&M Lab

The purpose of the M&M Lab is create a simple model to illustrate exponential growth.  In our model, the M&M could represent a cancerous cell. If it lands "M" up, the cell divides into a "parent" cell and a "daughter" cell. The cancerous cell divide and grow exponentially.
