Advanced Placement English Literature and Composition is a two-semester college level class with college-level requirements and benefits. In May, students have the opportunity to earn college credit by taking the College Board Advanced Placement Examination in English Literature and Composition, a three hour long exam that includes both multiple choice and essay questions.The concentration on literature and writing in this course should enhance students’ ability to use grammatical and stylistic conventions both appropriately and with sophistication as well as develop maturity in their prose.
